World Book Day, 2nd March 2023 - tokens

We're looking forward to celebrating World Book Day on Thursday.

There are lots of fun books in the WBD Collection and we've been talking about some of them in the library with S1 & S2 students.

This year, the WBD book tokens are digital and you can download them here: Armadale Academy World Book Day tokens

You can then show this on your mobile phone/tablet at the checkout to exchange the book token for a free World Book Day £1 book, or get £1 off a full price book or audiobook costing £2.99 or more. If you prefer, you can print a copy or ask Mrs Lumsden in the Library for a paper copy.

The digital book tokens are ‘single-use only’ and should only be used once by each student. There are lots of fun books in the selection. The World Book Day digital book tokens can be used from Thursday, 16 February to Sunday, 26 March 2023.

Creative Writing Competition

Students in S5 organised a creative writing competition as part of their Personal Achievement class and received many excellent entries. This made choosing a winner extremely difficult!

We are delighted to announce that our winning story is "Why I Can't Do P.E." by S2 pupils, Jennifer and Rose. Franceska's story, "The Forgotten", was a worthy runner-up.

You can read the stories here: Creative Writing Competition

Thank you to everyone who took part and congratulations to the winners!
