"Stormbreaker " by Anthony Horowitz

This book is the bomb shiza, no book can compare to this.  In it a young boy's uncle gets murdered by a contract killer. The boy called Alex finds this strange and stumbles on an evil plot. I like the book because it is about spys.
Review by GW.

"Stormbreaker" is a breathtaking book with spectacular detail and fantastic description. It is a tale of a 14 year old boy named Alex Rider whose uncle Ian dies from an assassination.  Alex is determined to get revenge so he joins M16 and is sent on a mission to Cornwall and gets cuaght. If you like thrilling books read thois one.

Reading for the weekend.

If you have had enough of the Royal Wedding why not take some books home to read for the weekend? Top of my list of recommendations is The Patrick Ness Trilogy. The book group will be reading "Monsters of Men" for the Carnegie challenge but do start with "The knife of never letting go."  It is superb, original writing and for all those in the Debate Group who have been thinking about war, terrorism and power this has much to make you question every decision our world leaders make. Here's a quote from Perri "One of the best books I've ever read. An epic conclusion to the Chaos Walking series."
For all our Carnegie reviews see our Carnegie website at  www.ckg.org.uk/shadowing then select Reading Groups, Armadale Academy Spinetinglers.

"Point Blanc" by Anthony Horowitz

Left ImageDo you think you could be a spy, go to France and put your life on the line? Yes, then Point Blanc is the book for you. Feel the butterflies as the main character Alex goes on his secret mission.

The best action book ever!
