Book Week Scotland ran from 15 - 21 November this year and we celebrated in many different ways.
Classes were encouraged to listen to stories in class throughout the week - some classes listened to subject-specific stories, others just dropped everything in class and listened to other fantastic stories (including a rendition of The Gruffalo in Scots in the Library).
Every pupil in S1 chose a book to keep and received these during Book Week Scotland.
S2 pupils were awarded a 'golden ticket' which entitled them to attend a Book Bistro in the Library, with books, biscuits and juice.
They also had an opportunity to discuss their favourite books with teachers who popped into the Book Bistro.

Library classes learned about Scottish books, authors and poets. We also talked about writing in Scots and learned some new Scots words. Mrs Lumsden also learned some new Scots words!
